Presidential elections

With all the name calling and acuastions being thrown around by both candidates you would think that we are in real big trouble.  Why can't theses people just tell  us what they will do in plain and simple language.  Instead they want to focus on past judgements that were made with the information at hand at the time.  We all know that hind site is always 20/20.  Please try to get past the negatives and look to the future, is the way all candidates should be going.   It seems that the candidates and the media are afraid to tell the whole story in an upfront mannor.  Maybe Paris Hilton did boil it down the best.

What are the Oil compnies hiding

The big oil companies are testifying in congress, that they are not making real profits. They want us to believe that they have "future" expenses to cover with this new windfall of 100 BILLION dollars. They also want to keep the tax credits of 18 BILLION as well as have access to protected areas to explore for more oil.
Maybe we are not asking the right questions. Like how come there have been no new refineries built in the last 20 years? Why are the current refineries only working at less than 99%? Why do they only produce certain types of fuel on certain days of the week? Why are supplies increasing and not being utilized?
Just once would I like to see our congressmen and senators thinking like you and me, instead of like a politician that is trying to protect his job.

Where is common snese

With all the negative news about our economy and standard of living, why are people and our politicians worried about a baseball player on drugs and a football team that may hve cheated.
We need to get our focus on how we can sve this country and its families.  Wasting time, money and effort on such unimportant situations is just plain stupid.
Peolple are loosing their homes and banks are playing with our lives.  There has to be answer that all of us can understand and imploment.  Any good thoughts out there??

Are we being drugged by the media?

Does any one really listen to the disclaimers of drug advertising on TV and radio or read the very very fine print about the drugs advertised in the magazines and news papers? I hear/read more complications than improvement in health issues. These commercials are not a whole lot different than the cure all potions and elixors sold off the back of a covered wagon.

Maybe if we were more and better informed about proper diet, exercise, rest and stress reduction, most of these medications would not be necessary.
